God's Glory Revealed Through Us

When you are in a spiritual, physical or emotional battle, it takes strength and courage to fight. However, there are times when the fight seems too much to handle and we just want to give up. That’s when we decide to cry out to God for help. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” It’s normally at our wits end when we decide to give our battle over to God, because we just don’t have the energy to put up a fight anymore. But what if we tapped into the strength that God has given us from the very beginning? Maybe we wouldn’t even have had to fight so hard or so long.

At the beginning (and the end) of the day, God wants to use us to draw others closer to Him; therefore, when others are able to see God in us, His glory can be revealed through us. If the truth be told, we sometimes even have to remind ourselves of what God can do. We are quick to encourage others, but the moment that we have to fight our own battles, we may forget that the same God that we were boasting to someone else about is the same God that will be there for us. A lot of times our dependence on God is measured by how big we see the battle. If the battle seems too big, we go into panic, fear and worry, which are all natural emotions, yet they don’t come from a place of faith. Therefore, God will not only reveal Himself to others, but also reassure us of how powerful He is and how strong we are in Him.

When we fight with the power of God, we fight in faith. Faith is having complete confidence or trust in God. If we can just remember ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me,” then we can rest assured knowing that if we believe in the power of Christ that is within us, there is no way that we can be defeated.
