What You Givin'

It's always a great time at Real Talk with Lady Robin and The Ladies of Radiance. Hey Harvest girls! I take pleasure in being apart of an amazing group of women empowering other women to be all that God has created them to be. We kick off all our events with a segment entitled "What you GIVIN". This is when a team member searches the crowd and finds the woman who shined bright with confidence and style. The winner is gifted with a prize and has the opportunity to strut her stuff on the pink carpet. Oh yes ma'am!!! Those who represent the kingdom should always be dressed the part spiritually and physically. Most of us do so much day-to-day that we barely care about how we look until it's time for a night out with someone special, friends, or my God we gotta put it on for church. I once heard a Pastor who is absolutely fabulous, Hey Pastor J, mention that she had had a rough day but as she was preparing for a service she spoke the words "Lord I'm going to get my hair right for you. Lord I'm going to put this makeup on for you. Lord I'm going to present myself a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to you even with my appearance." How many times have we heard unbelievers say that church folk look dated, worn and run down? Why would someone want our God if we are walking around looking busted and not blessed, or, broken and not built up. Tonex sung it best, Lord make me over. (I know what you're thinking but stay focused). Although God looks at the heart and not the outward appearance, we still need to take better care of how we represent the kingdom in our appearance physically and spiritually. The bible says in Ephesians 6:11-17 that we should put on the full armor of God. The belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Now that's an outfit! What more of an impact could we make for the kingdom and ourselves if we just take time to BE our best spiritually as well as physically. Be your BEST self. Fellas, you don't have to be flashy and ladies you don't have to have a face full of make up if that's not your thing, but you should let the glory of God shine upon you in such a way that someone notices that you are a King's kid. Next time your feet hit the floor and you look in the mirror be sure to answer the question “What you GIVIN?" before you walk out the door.

#GoOnAndBeGreat...you don't need permission to be something you already are.
