Satan’s Foolishness Does Not Compare to God’s Faithfulness

We often hear and refer to Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” However, I don’t think people realize the power that is packed into those 10 words.

Let’s begin with the first clause, “If God is FOR us.” This means that the first thing we must do is evaluate our (insert problem/situation/relationship) to see if God has even purposed that for our lives. So often we get caught up in problems, situations and relationships that we got ourselves in that God never intended FOR us. Don’t expect God to bless your mess! It wasn’t intended FOR you in the first place. Pray, read the Word, and be open to what God says He has FOR you. If you’re confused about what God is saying, check your motives. Check whether or not your actions line up with the Word. Check whether or not He can receive glory from it. Once you have confirmation that the (insert problem/situation/relationship) is a part of God’s will, God’s plan or God’s purpose for your life, then take comfort in knowing that He is in complete control.

The second part of the verse says, “WHO can be against us.” Therefore, once you know that God is FOR the (insert problem/situation/relationship), there is absolutely no one or nothing that can win against you. They will certainly try you though! Think about the character of the enemy, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. So when the enemy knows that the (insert problem/situation/relationship) is going to end up bringing God glory, he will use all sorts of tricks and disguises to attempt to tear it down. DON’T LET HIM! Prepare for the enemy to come in all forms to try to steal your joy, kill your peace and destroy your purpose. But when God has told you that the marriage, the business, the home, the child, the vision is FOR you, IT IS FOR YOU! So the next time the enemy forgets who he is messing with, simply put him in his place by reminding him that his foolishness is no match to God’s faithfulness.
